It is no secret this is Emma Stone’s year, her spectacular role in La La Land landed her an Oscar and her fashion choices could not be more on point. Remember the light pink sequined Valentino she wore for the Golden Globes? Well this was just the beginning, her choice for probably one of the most important nights of her life, was Ricardo Tisci last couture dress for Givenchy house before departing earlier this year.
Stone’s bedazzled in a gold embroidered number with a stunning fringe design at the bottom, which gave her movement through the evening. The star’s personal stylist Petra Flannery has revealed it took 11 people and 1,700 hours to make! Given to that every single bead was hand sewn into the lace. The dress was inspired by La La Land, the music, the dances, the movement and whole essence of the production, and initially it was going to be silver, but after traveling to Paris at the beginning of the year and taking a closer look at the crystal colors, Emma decided for gold.
Not only was her dress impeccable, but her hair and make up were flawless and perfect.

Henson in a black velvet custom made Alberta Ferreri, Janelle Monáe in a sequined black and gold Elie Saab and of course the young princess of the night Hailee Steinfeld in a ruffle and floral design by Ralph & Russo.
